PROCEDURE:

In main kettle charge water and slowly sprinkle in Gelcarin PC 379 with mixing at medium speed until gum is fully hydrated and batch is homogenous. Add Phase B ingredients one at a time and continue to mix until batch is uniform. Combine Phase C and add to batch, mixing until uniform. Check pH and adjust with 5.0% NaOH solution if neccessary to pH 5.00-5.20. Once pH is achieved, switch to side sweep and add Phase E to main batch, mixing until uniform and being careful not to aerate batch. Continue to mix and add Phase F. Mix until batch is uniform throughout.
